This project is part of the mathematical body of content made by Grant Larson Productions and acts as a visual guide for best practices within the classroom. Some of the concepts covered appear incredibly simple at first but without the increased awareness of the pitfalls that students fall into it’s easy to see where problems may arise for teachers in conveying math principles across grades K-8.
Much like the premise of this project, it appeared relatively straight forward initially with an easy two day shoot in the schedule. Before long but after many conversations with the client the project dramatically increased to a near five week shoot to create nearly 6 hours of content. With a firm deadline in place and only a handful of approved scripts my team of four began committing the project to the media drives.
The most disappointing part of this project was being reminded of how many mathematical concepts I have forgotten over the years.
